Rescue for Love Policies and Foster Application

We are always seeking foster homes. Our space is limited, and foster homes can assist by giving us the ability to rescue dogs we would not otherwise be able to house. When fostering, you would helping a pup or dog learn to leash walk, potty train, or live and socialize with a family – an experience many of these dogs have not had. At the same time, you will be bonding, giving and receiving affection and devotion, and getting them ready for their new home. You will know that you have helped them along their way, that you offered the kind hand to stroke their fur, and that you showed them to love and trust while they wait for their new family to find them. If you are interested in becoming a foster home, please fill out the application below.

Application Requirements:

  • Rescue for Love will not consider any application that is submitted for anyone other than the primary applicant.

  • All applications submitted should be done so with full knowledge of all family members. Rescue for Love requires all members of the household (including anyone renting space in the home and any animals) to meet with a Rescue for Love volunteer and the desired foster prior to fostering.

  • Rescue for Love fosters need to supply the basic foster supplies such as food, bedding, chew toys and such. Please let us know if you can not provide these things or if you would require anything additional to foster.

  • The primary applicant must be on the lease or mortgage to foster for Rescue for Love.

  • A phone interview will follow the application process. Please specify the best time and contact number for this interview.

  • You must agree to and sign the contract form prior to fostering. (The software to view, save, or print Adobe Acrobat documents is available free from the Adobe website.  To get a free copy of the software, please click here).
